Our client is the world leader in oil seed extraction technology, refining plants, and equipment serving global customers from its locations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. They are looking for a Regional Technical Sales Manager to be based in Singapore. This newly created role will be the pioneer in the team that covers the SEA region.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for managing the technical sales aspects including segment, product line & technology packages, and all relevant technical supporting activities throughout the entire sales process.
  • Collaborating within the sales organization on new customer opportunities, building strong customer relationships, technology training, collecting & analyzing customer/market insights to identify winning technology solutions, and supporting strategic sales growth initiatives.
  • Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments and advising and guiding the technical aspects of the sales process while working within a close collaboration with Global Technical Sales Managers to ensure alignment and leverage global insights and strategies.
  • Develop & Manage standard product line sales tool-kits including sizing programs, sales flow diagrams, mass balances, and a library of sales presentations.
  • Assist marketing collateral development on product lines and new innovations and support new innovation launches through technical support & training.

 

What they are looking for

  • Educated with a Degree / Masters in Chemical Process or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Oilseeds complex, preferably in an Oilseeds Crushing or Vegetable Oil Refining, Palm Processing, Biodiesel, and/or Oleochemical business.
  • Sales driven with a strong technical background.
  • Prior experience in selling end-to-end engineering solutions is highly preferred.
  • Prior Modeling experience – ChemCad, Aspen modeling a plus.
  • Regional exposure to the SEA / Asia region.
  • International / regional travelling is to be expected.
