Job Responsibilities

  • Actively liaising with customers and freight forwarders regarding shipping status and deliveries.
  • Collection and management of shipping documents from the Bank.
  • Timely issuance of Invoices and DOs for ex stock deliveries and overseeing the accuracy of stock adjustment entries – accurate follow up of order receipt, inventory picking, updating and tracking inventory.
  • Month end stock reconciliation.
  • Co-ordinating movement of goods to point of delivery.
  • Verification of charges / invoices received from logistics/storage providers and the generation of payment vouchers to cover same.
  • Generation of Debit Notes to customers covering charges for logistics services and storage as applicable.
  • Verification of Import Permit (GST) charges and the generation of payment vouchers to cover same.

 

What they are looking for

  • Educated to a Diploma / Degree or equivalent with a minimum 4 to 5 years of Logistics experience.
  • Prior experience with Bill of Lading and Letter of Credit is an added advantage.
  • Food manufacturing industry background is an added advantage as well.
  • Good Knowledge of Shipping documents and process.
